Artistic Movements: The Northern Renaissance

In and around the 15th and 16th Centuries, taking place during the time of the Italian Renaissance, in the European countries north of Italy. The artists of the Northern Renaissance began using oil paint sooner than many of their counterparts in the south and were less preoccupied with the study of linear perspective.
