Jean Harlow died on June 7th, 1937, at the age of 26. She was called Hollywood’s blonde bombshell, a sex symbol of her time. Though she died due to kidney failure, many rumours—some ridiculous—abounded in regards to the manner of her death, including poisoning from hair bleach, a potential botched abortion, and lack of medical care.

Harlow, the “tart with a heart,” had many friends, loved ones, and admirers who attended her funeral, including those who stared beside her on screen, William Powell and Clark Gable.
